Never more than six. Every Primary 1 to 6 class at WhaleYou Learning is capped at 6 students with one teacher, at both Beauty World Centre and Alexandra Central. If a class is full we open a new one or waitlist; we do not add a seventh chair.

Six is the largest class in which a teacher can still check every child's work, hear every child read or explain, and adjust the pace when someone is lost, while keeping the peer energy that one-to-one tuition loses. Larger classes drift into lectures.

Each lesson works through the topic the school is on that term, then practice with the teacher checking every child's working, then targeted correction. Students who finish early get extension questions; students who are stuck get the teacher beside them, not a worksheet to take home.

Yes. Teachers share what they notice about your child during the year, not only at report time. With six students at most, the teacher sees every child's work in every lesson.

Short, regular practice beats long weekend sessions. Your child's teacher will tell you what to work on, usually one specific skill at a time, and how to spot when it has clicked.

Our lead teacher, Ming Qi, has nine years of teaching experience. Every WhaleYou teacher is named on the teachers page with their subjects and levels, so you know who is in the room with your child.

English, Maths, Science and Chinese, all under one roof at either centre. Families often take two or more subjects on the same day so one trip covers everything. Every class follows the current MOE syllabus for that level.

Primary 1 to Primary 6. English, Maths and Chinese run from P1 to P6, and Science from P3 to P6 because Science begins in Primary 3 in Singapore schools. Classes are grouped by level so the pace matches the school year.

Yes. Each class follows the MOE primary syllabus for its level and the school term, so what your child does at WhaleYou lines up with homework and school exams. In Primary 5 and 6, practice moves to PSLE format.

Because that is when Science begins as a subject in Singapore primary schools. Our Science classes run from P3 to P6 and follow the MOE syllabus themes for the lower block (P3 and P4) and upper block (P5 and P6).

Yes. In Primary 5 and 6 every subject moves to PSLE-format practice, with timed papers and error review after each one. All four PSLE subjects are taught at both centres, so a P6 student can prepare for everything in one place.

Yes. Composition planning, structure and vocabulary are part of every English class from Primary 3, and PSLE Paper 1 (situational and continuous writing) practice starts in Primary 5. Marked compositions come back with specific fixes, not just a grade.

Yes. Reading aloud and stimulus-based conversation are practised in class, not left to the exam week. Listening comprehension practice starts in the upper primary years when it appears in school exams.

Yes. Model drawing is introduced from Primary 3 and heuristics for word problems are built up level by level. We mark the method, not just the answer, because a child who can explain the steps can handle a question they have never seen before.

Please ask us. Whether we run a separate Foundation Maths class depends on demand at each centre; tell us your child's subject band when you book and we will advise on the right class.

By training the answering technique, not just the content: identify what the question is testing, use the keywords the marker looks for, and write cause and effect in the right order. Most marks lost in primary Science are lost on how answers are written.

Yes, and this is common. With six students at most, every child reads, speaks and gets corrected in every lesson, which gives the spoken practice a non-Mandarin household cannot provide. Your child's teacher will also suggest simple daily habits that help.

Your child joins a real class of six or fewer for one full lesson, at either centre. The teacher then shares what they noticed and whether the class is the right fit. There is no obligation to continue, and no sales talk.

Use the trial booking form or WhatsApp us with your child's level, the subject and your preferred centre. We confirm a slot with you directly.

Any time there is a seat in the right class. Book a $20 trial first; if it fits, we hold the seat from the next lesson. The timetable shows classes and seats left as they open.

$50 per lesson for Primary 1 to 3, $55 for Primary 4 to 5 and $60 for Primary 6, for every subject and at both centres. A trial lesson is $20. Full details are on the fees page.

Yes. Fees, class sizes, subjects and levels are identical at both centres. Choose whichever centre is easier for your family.

A missed lesson is not refunded or made up, so please check the timetable against school events before you pay for a month. If we cancel a lesson, we either arrange a replacement lesson or refund that lesson, and we tell you which. Anything outside this is looked at case by case; WhatsApp us.

Yes. Families who bring a new student to WhaleYou are rewarded once that student enrols. The reward and how to claim it are published on the fees page as soon as they are finalised.

Yes, subject to seats being available in the matching class. Because both centres teach the same programme at the same pace, a move mid-year does not mean starting over.

Often, yes. Because all four subjects and all six levels run at each centre, we try to place siblings in classes that run at the same time so parents make one trip. Tell us the levels when you book and we will look at the timetable together.

Beauty World Centre has its own carpark, and Beauty World MRT (DT5) is a short walk away. Exact directions from the MRT exit and nearby bus stops will be listed here once our unit is confirmed.

Alexandra Central has its own carpark, and the mall sits on Alexandra Road next to IKEA Alexandra, with Redhill (EW18) and Queenstown (EW19) MRT stations nearby. Walking times and bus stops will be listed here once our unit is confirmed.
