WhaleYou Learning is a small-group tuition centre in Singapore for Primary 1 to 6 English, Maths, Science and Chinese, with a hard cap of 6 students per class, at Beauty World Centre (Bukit Timah) and Alexandra Central (Queenstown). Four subjects, one roof
Most families split a child between a Maths centre, an English centre and a Chinese centre. At WhaleYou all four primary subjects run in the same building, in the same small classes, often on the same afternoon.
Primary English tuition
P1 to P6. Comprehension technique, composition structure, grammar and vocabulary, oral and listening. PSLE format from P5.
Primary Maths tuition
P1 to P6. Number sense to ratio and algebra, model drawing and heuristics for word problems, timed PSLE papers in P6.
Primary Science tuition
P3 to P6. Every MOE syllabus theme plus the answering technique that turns understanding into marks on open-ended questions.
Primary Chinese tuition
P1 to P6. Reading, 作文 and 阅读理解 technique, oral and listening practice every term, for Mandarin-speaking and non-Mandarin homes.
What does a class of six change?
The teacher checks every child's work in every lesson. Every child reads, explains or answers out loud every lesson. When a child is lost, the pace changes for them, not after the exam. And the cap is written into our enrolment terms: if a class is full we open another one or waitlist, we never add a seventh chair.

What you are really paying for

Weak is where we start, not a reason to look past your child
Being behind in a subject is simply the next thing to learn. We find the exact gap and teach from there, rather than running a struggling child through the same worksheet as everyone else.

A maximum of one teacher to six students means your child is noticed and helped every lesson, not paying for a seat in another crowded classroom.

After the lesson, the teacher shares what they noticed. If it feels right, we hold the seat. If not, you have lost nothing but $20.

How many students are in a WhaleYou class?
Never more than six. Every Primary 1 to 6 class at WhaleYou Learning is capped at 6 students with one teacher, at both Beauty World Centre and Alexandra Central. If a class is full we open a new one or waitlist; we do not add a seventh chair.
Which levels does WhaleYou teach?
Primary 1 to Primary 6. English, Maths and Chinese run from P1 to P6, and Science from P3 to P6 because Science begins in Primary 3 in Singapore schools. Classes are grouped by level so the pace matches the school year.
Which subjects can my child take?
English, Maths, Science and Chinese, all under one roof at either centre. Families often take two or more subjects on the same day so one trip covers everything. Every class follows the current MOE syllabus for that level.
How much does a lesson cost?
$50 per lesson for Primary 1 to 3, $55 for Primary 4 to 5 and $60 for Primary 6, for every subject and at both centres. A trial lesson is $20. Full details are on the fees page.
